Try asking something like

Turn what you want your robot to do into a short, labelled first-draft program.
Comment every meaningful line in plain language.
Do the simplest version, so your own testing and changes still matter.
Ask you one short question if your request is too vague: what should the robot sense, and what should it do?

Give you a finished, polished or fully debugged solution. Testing and fixing is your job.
Write your Design Log or your explanation for you.
Pretend a sensor can do something it can't. If the EV3 kit can't do it, it will say so.
