Kōkiri standard wiring
Left drive motor B, right drive motor C, medium motor A, touch 1, gyro 2, colour 3, ultrasonic 4.
The base robot uses LEGO's own free instructions.

B0: Kōkiri Base (or LEGO Driving Base)
Two-motor driving robot with a rear caster, brick on top, front bumper with mounting holes.
Wiring: Motors B and C
Test: Run Example 01 (drive a square). Does it come back to the start? Measure how far off it is.
Measure and record wheel diameter (mm) and axle track (mm) -- these go into every program.
Step-by-step photos and instructions coming soon
B1: Sensor Mast (front)
Holds the ultrasonic sensor facing forward at about 10 cm high and the colour sensor pointing down 8 to 12 mm above the floor, both adjustable.
Wiring: Ultrasonic 4, colour 3
Test: Example 02 (obstacle stopper) and Example 05 (line follower).
Step-by-step photos and instructions coming soon
B2: Gyro and Touch Pack
Gyro mounted flat in the middle of the robot, away from motors; touch sensor as a front bumper or top "go" button.
Wiring: Gyro 2, touch 1
Test: Example 06 (gyro turn) and Example 04 (touch to deliver).
Step-by-step photos and instructions coming soon
B3: Gripper Arm
Medium motor driving a two-jaw gripper or a lifting fork at the front.
Wiring: Medium motor A
Test: Pick up and carry a 4 cm foam cube 50 cm.
Safety: gear down so the gripper cannot pinch hard; no fingers in the jaws during runs.
Step-by-step photos and instructions coming soon
B4: Science Tray
A flat tray on the back for carrying a sample cup, a thermometer or a note; colour sensor optionally pointing up (ambient light).
Wiring: Colour 3 (pointing up)
Test: Example 03 (light survey).
Step-by-step photos and instructions coming soon
B5: Phone Deck (expansion)
A cradle on top of the brick holding a phone in landscape, camera facing forward, screen facing back; space for the ESP32 bridge and a small speaker.
Wiring: ESP32 bridge to sensor port 1
Test: Example 07 (phone bridge listener).
Safety: phone strapped in two places; tilt the robot 20 degrees to check it doesn't tip.
Step-by-step photos and instructions coming soon
